Joe Bonamassa is one of the most influential and successful blues rock musicians of our time. In 2026, the acclaimed guitarist and singer made music history once again: with "B.B. King's Blues Summit 100," he earned his 30th number-one album on the Billboard Blues Charts. The 32-song tribute album honors B.B. King, one of his most important early mentors.

Bonamassa produced the album together with Josh Smith, in collaboration with the B.B. King Estate. Guests include Buddy Guy, Slash, Keb' Mo', Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Paul Rodgers, Chaka Khan, Eric Clapton and Gary Clark Jr. "B.B. King's Blues Summit 100" debuted at number one on the Billboard Blues Charts and, on the occasion of B.B. King's 100th birthday, underlines Bonamassa's role as one of the most important contemporary ambassadors and guardians of the blues.

The past few years have been an especially productive phase in Bonamassa's career anyway. His 2025 studio album "Breakthrough" also reached number one on the Billboard Blues Charts, becoming his 29th chart-topper in that ranking. "The Spirit Of Rory – Live From Cork" followed as another highlight: the live album and accompanying concert film document Bonamassa's sold-out tribute concerts for Rory Gallagher in Gallagher's hometown.

With more than 50 released albums, Bonamassa has built an extraordinary catalog that spans studio and live recordings as well as numerous collaborations. Through his side projects Black Country Communion and Rock Candy Funk Party, he has also repeatedly gone on musical voyages of discovery, broadening his stylistic range along the way.

Bonamassa is active not only as a performer but also as a songwriter and producer. Together with Josh Smith, he worked on widely acclaimed productions for artists such as Joanne Shaw Taylor, Marc Broussard, Larry McCray and Jimmy Hall. His work also receives great attention in the international media. He has been profiled by Esquire, The Wall Street Journal, Parade, Rolling Stone and American Songwriter, among others, and has appeared on the covers of renowned trade magazines such as Guitar World, Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, Guitarist and Classic Rock Magazine.

His commitment to the future of the blues reaches far beyond his own career. Through the "Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation," Bonamassa has so far supported more than 800 music education projects, from which more than 130,000 students have already benefited. At the same time, he continues to advocate for musicians and music programs in need of support.
